2017 Recap

Sometimes you just have to admit defeat and just start over. I wasn’t the most organized when starting my photography. I didn’t have a very good system. I would edit them then post them on Facebook and then forget all about my blog and my Instagram and other social media. Then I wouldn’t touch any of it for a week or so… sometimes longer.

It wasn’t until a few months that I started to get a little more on track. I had shut down my blog all together because…

One: I hated writing and I felt that with having a blog I had to write.
Two: I had so much I need to blog about or post that it just over whelmed me.
Three: I was lazy and all I wanted to do was read or write something that wasn’t work related.

So, now it brings me to today’s post.

Today is a catch me all for my 2017 year.

January

It was a cold winters day.... Okay, not really. It was chilly but again this is the south and the weather is bipolar. My mother and I decide we are going to take a trip to New Orleans for a Book Con. Some know, other don't but book had recently entered into my life and I can't put them down.

I have a separate blog about our whole trip there.(The blog is very new. I decided to start it for my writing and book reviews but then decided to also make it a personal blog. Almost like a dairy for the whole world to read.)

A lot of these pictures that are on here are just a quick picture with my phone. They are here to show you a little of our journey.

February

We received a new bundle of love. Her name is Indigo Pearl Turnquist and she is my life. Indigo loves her stuff bunny, has vocal cords that will make your ear drums bleed and loves to be held. Let me give you a little back story about that day. I had just arrived with my mother.

Jaden, my brothers girlfriend had been induced the night before and when we came in there was not much happening. We were talking a bit and my brother was falling asleep on that horrible couch they have there.

We told him. "Wesley, why don't you go sleep in the car. We will come and get you when it starts to get close."

Now, Jaden had only been at 4 centimeters. There was much of a change. My brother had agreed and then as soon as he started to leave, the baby's heart rate drops and Jaden was at 9 centimeters then the next think we knew she was here.

Right then I just knew that little girl was going to give her daddy a hard time.

There hasn't been enough time to kick anyone out and thank god because I would have never gotten these shots.

March- July

These months went by in a flash. One moment I had family pictures, The next I had a wedding then I have newborn. It was a world wind of events.

May

Graduation day! I have two seniors that month. Logan and my youngest brother Joshua. Let me just tell you. I cried when I did Logan's pictures because while I was working on them, it had hit me that my baby brother was no longer a baby and that he would be graduating the same time.

I got over myself. We took a trip to Virginia for my brothers graduation.

I got to enjoy a father/daughter day while we visited.

June

June! June! Was mine and my husbands five year anniversary and we did... I don't remember. We went to eat but we didn't do anything extravagant.
My husband is everything to me. He has been there for me in the toughest times and I couldn't ask for a better husband.
When I was out of work for a whole year my husband carried that weight and when I was sick again this year. He still carried that weight. When I for something to be made and show him what I am looking for he was right behind me and getting it completed.
I know I am a difficult women at times but my husband puts up with me and I couldn't ask for a better husband.

                                               July - Dec

Nothing! I didn't do a thing because this is about the time that my sinus infections and migraines hit me. It all started in February when I started to get really bad hives on my arms and back. I went to the doctor and started to get shoots. Well, I started to get a sinus infection about every month. It would stop for two to three weeks and then I would get another. I had gone to the doctor every month.

On September 1st, I put things in my own hands and said I was going to go in my ears to help with the migraines and let me tell you. I could tell a difference. There wasn't as much pressure but then I did get another sinus infection and I had to suffer from that.

It wasn't until Sept 25th that when I went back to my doctor that he decided that it was time for surgery. I had agreed. I had the surgery and was out for two week.

Those two week conceited of me sleeping, reading, sleeping again, trying to read and sleeping some more.

After my surgery. Getting back on track was the goal. When you lose so much ground, it is difficult to get back on a level floor. So that is why I have this blog. What better way than to show everything this year in a recap.

I have had a few other blogs since this one. Don't forget to check them out.

I can't wait to show you next year! Lots of Mini Sessions, Senior pictures, Family session , two wedding and a trip to Vegas that will becoming up and even a family reunion!

Stay tune to next weeks blog. I will have the schedule posted for all mini sessions.
